Boat Description

Samuel Pepys is a lightly used example of these ever popular and highly regarded yachts, and has been cruised and gently raced for much of her life. She benefits from considerable re-furbishment works and an excellent set of sails – small touches like the protective covering of the Saloon Cushions provides an indication of the care she has received.

Unfortunately, like many boats of her age, she has a dose of the pox and the asking price reflects this. She is currently drying out ashore, so you have the choice of continuing the dry out process or just launch and "go sailing" and treat in the future. She is far from about to sink and will provide years of entertainment in a lot of lovely boat for not a lot of money!

The X-102 was the first IOR yacht ever released by X-Yachts. It started with the MkII in 1983. In total 173 of them were built until end of production in 1987. The X-102 was primarily meant as a fast and comfortable cruiser/racer. She won the 3/4 ton cup both in 1981 and 1982. In 1982 she also won the 3/4 ton cup I

Cowes over various top trimmed Dehler DBI's as well as some fast One off's. Later X-Yachts build a full racing version using the same hull (1985-91). She won the 3/4 ton cup in 1985/87/88/89 and in 1996 the Dutch sailor, Harry Vogel, crossed the Atlantic in his X-102 as a participant of the OSTAR race.
