Description

The Nauticat 33 is a well built and spacious motor sailor.
This example has carefully used and continuously upgraded and is well worth a look.

Accommodation:
The interior layout offers up to six berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. At the centre of the boat is the large wheelhouse with amidships steering position and chart table. There is excellent vision all round and seating to the rear, with access doors either side. Steps down to aft cabin with two single berths.

Going forward there are steps down to the galley area, with a dinette to port. Four burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurised water system (gas water heater). 150 litre freshwater capacity in plastic tank. Refrigerator.

Separate heads compartment to port with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. In the fore cabin, two single berths. Opening hatch to foredeck. Radio/CD player with speakers in wheelhouse. TV with integral CD player.

Mechanical Systems:
Located under the wheelhouse sole, Ford 2712E four cylinder 86hp diesel engine. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller. 600 litre fuel capacity in 2 stainless steel tanks giving approximately 1500 mile range at 6 knot cruising speed.

Maximum speed under power 7.5 knots. Single lever control. Bow thruster, 2009. The engine has been regularly serviced. The engine and gearbox were lifted out in 2006 and completely refurbished and the unit has only completed about 250 hours since.

Construction:
Built by Siltala Yachts in 1978 to their own design. Dark blue painted GRP hull. Wooden superstructure with teak laid deck. Long keel with lead ballast. Keel hung rudder. Wheel steering. The hull was repainted 2009. The hull was epoxied below the waterline 2008. She has an extended bowsprit/platform which increases the headsail area and allow boarding via the bow.
