Grado Dodici is a unique fully custom Italian build Center Console, build of the best materials and equipment by its current first owner. Build in the cold molded construction method this center console / sport cruiser / fisherman is inspired to American practical design with an Italian flair added in its looks. As can be seen in the full specification sheet the owner of Grado does not spare expenses to maintain and keep this unique sport cruiser with the latest technological equipment.

Consider Grado Dodici if you are looking for an equivalent outboard powered center console as a Pursuit, Boston Whaler, Hydra. Grady White etc etc but want something special that includes the benefits of a fully custom light and strong cold molded construction added with the bonus of featuring the latest equipment.

Type and method of construction

• Fisherman Lobster style boat, open type, B design category (UDICER certification entity), carries 14 persons

• Hull structure: upper-works and bottom-works in mahogany marine plywood sandwiches of three 9 mm layers (27 mm in total) laminated externally with biaxial glass fabric with the upper-works and the entire bow covered with kevlar biaxial fabric and internally with biaxial glass fabric (different grammage depending on the zone); keel, stringers and bulkheads in mahogany marine plywood of varied thicknesses, design built with 5-axis cnc machines, transom in mahogany marine plywood with interposed sheets of carbon and laminated externally with glass fabric and covered by kevlar fabric and internally in glass fabric, connected to the hull structure by means of threaded rods in stainless steel; for bonding and laminating, use was made solely of epoxy resin, with the addition, where necessary, of glass and/or ceramic microspheres, sourced from West System

• Covered structure and furnishings: mahogany marine plywood laminated, where necessary, using biaxial glass fabric with epoxy resin (West System);

• T Top: sandwich with low specific weight structural foam core, laminated with quadriaxial carbon fabric, multilayered with epoxy resin (West System). Technical support for lamination provided by Resintex Technology;

• Cabin planking: in high quality solid Burma teak, 8 mm thick, with classic staves (50 mm., 90 mm frames, 4 mm seams), white rubberised;

• Access hatches provided by Seasmart S.r.l. in carbon resin and watertight with drainage

• State of the art painting with epoxy and acrylic based coatings (materials supplied by International Paint, Boero and Awlgrip) depending on the zone;

• Antifouling: Hard matrix for high speed boats

Engine, electrics, water

Electrical system • 12 V system with electrical panel with separate switches for each circuit; • 220 V system with electrical panel with separate switches for each circuit and bow and aft shore side sockets • Galvanic isolator • Voltage insulator • 12 V sealed cabin sockets (external sockets are watertight) • 220 sealed cabin sockets (all are two pin and Schuko – external sockets are watertight)

• 7 state of the art Varta AGM 105 Ah batteries: 3 for the engines (one for each engine), 4 for services (two banks of two batteries each) and one for the generator, with dedicated battery cut-off/switches on deck. The use of individual lower capacity batteries that are all the same makes it possible to join multiple batteries in parallel (even with all seven batteries together) without risks, makes it easier to move them due to their lower weight and size, provides ease of replacement due to their being readily availability and almost completely reduces the risk of being left without power

• Two electronic Waeco MCA 1250 50 A battery chargers with three outputs that recharge all the batteries even with only one battery charger in use (maximum safety) • All the batteries are recharged by means of engine alternators with original Yamaha cable • 1 Waeco MSP 2512 pure wave inverter (output 2500 W, peak 5000 W) and 1 Waeco PP 2002 modified wave inverter (output 2000 W, peak 4000 W) to have 220 via the batteries without damaging the more delicate electronic equipment (TV and similar)

• 5 Kw diesel generator Paguro 5000 (33 hours on 9/2017) that recharges all the batteries and with a separate diesel tank (bulwark fuel nozzle), Vetus remote controlled inlet and outlet cooling water valves (manual operation is also possible)

• System for automatic selection of power source (shore side, generator, inverters) without the need for manual intervention • Monitoring of levels of tanks for drinking water, black water, grey water and the diesel generator with Garmin liquid crystal display • Digital voltmeters for engine and services batteries • Technical locker solely dedicated to the electrical system with air blower

Plumbing system • 2 Jabsco Par Max Plus autoclaves, with single max flow rate of 23 litres per minute, with expansion vessels (constant flow regardless of the number of points that are open) • Whale quick connect piping and fittings system • Quick 40 litre boiler with thermostatic outlet temperature regulator • Hot and cold water for all facilities, inclusive of external showers • Double Whale Twist shower with built-in mixer in shower body • Planus electric toilet (Elite model) with 125 litre black water tank and double macerator with NMEAA 2000 connection to the float to view the volume filled on the GPS plotter, direct discharge is also possible without passing through the tank, activated carbon odour control filters, dedicated salt water pump that may also be used for fresh water by means of a diverter valve

• Bathroom and galley sinks and shower below deck connected by means of a tank with lifting pump to grey water system with dedicated 125 litre tank with macerator with NMEAA 2000 connection to the float to view the volume filled on the GPS plotter, activated carbon odour control filters, direct discharge is also possible without passing through the tank • Bidet in main bathroom • Shower room separate from the main bathroom with ceiling mounted shower and hand shower

• 450 litre fresh water tank to which it is possible to add drinking water through inspection hatch • Salt water pump with bow and aft bayonet couplings • Aft and midship quick fit couplings for use of fresh water from tank or from shore side water supply • Shore side water intake for use of the plant with shore side water supply without passing through the tank and autoclaves

• Automatic anti-bacterial liquid dosage system for fresh water tank (automatic dosage based on volume of water intake) • Sea inlet shut-off valves and flow diverter located in dedicated lockers and which are easy to use • Technical locker solely dedicated to the plumbing system with air blower

• NMEAA 2000 floating connection to view consumption data and residual autonomy in litres and miles feasible on Garmin plotter • NMEAA 2000 engine consumption connection to view consumption data and residual fuel on Garmin plotter and on Yamaha digital instruments
