The Moody 42 CC Ketch is a fantastic long-distance cruiser, ideal blue water cruiser. With centre cockpit this is a very safe go-anywhere yacht. A 2018 insurance survey is available upon request.
Accommodation
The Moody 42 CC Ketch offers 8 berths in 4 cabins, forward cabin with double vee berth. To the port side a double bunk berth with marine heads shower and vanity unit. Large saloon with seating for up to 8 persons, this doubles up to provide another double berth. Red velour upholstery. Galley to starboard fully equipped with stainless steel sink, large working area with plenty of storage, Spinflo Nelson gas cooker with two hobs, grill and oven, fridge. Large double aft cabin with lots of storage space, marine heads with shower and vanity unit. Heated throughout via an Eberspacher.
Sails and Spars
Ketch rig rigged with masthead main, deck stepped main and mizzen masts 1980, stainless steel standing rigging (2015). Mainsail with in mast reefing, furling headsail, mizzen slab reefing. Alloy spinnaker pole plus retractable bowsprit.

Mechanical Systems
The Moody 42 is powered by a four-cylinder Beta 75hp diesel engine, with indirect cooling, (serviced annually by the owner) shaft drive to a three bladed fixed propellor.

6 x 24-volt batteries, 4 x 12 volt charging from the engine alternator. Shore power connection with 240-volt ring main, Sterling battery management system, inverter, and immersion heater.

History and Construction
This Moody 42 CC Ketch designed by Angus Primrose and built by Moody in 1980. white GRP hull, grey superstructure with moulded non-slip decks, alloy toe rails. Owned by the current owner for the last 12 years, selling as he already has another boat, boat has been sailed throughout Europe and the UK.
