Elegant, luxurious and fully equipped decksaloon sailing yacht with lifting keel built by Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel, a yard specialised in the construction of exclusive one-offs. When designing and specifying the Knierim 60, safe and easy handling by a small crew was top priority.
Comfortable push-button sailing and simple, hydraulically assisted sail management enable a couple to control a yacht of this size. A powerful engine and generously dimensioned bow and stern thrusters facilitate harbour manoeuvres. However, the yacht was not only intended to be safe and comfortable; the yard also placed great emphasis on performance.
Light and stiff hybrid construction in GRP/foam sandwich with carbon fibre reinforcements in hull, deck and structure. A HALL-Spars carbon fibre mast, the powerful sail plan and a fully battened mainsail, which is easy to set and recover thanks to the furling boom, ensure excellent performance and lots of sailing fun. The Knierim 60 is a blue water capable “mile eater”.
Below decks, the Knierim 60 offers plenty of comfort and living space in three cabins and two heads compartments. In the spacious, light-flooded decksaloon, big front and side windows and exceptionally large hull ports create an undisturbed panorama, and the beautifully finishrd interior in high-gloss varnished teak with oak floorboards and white-covered panels create a friendly atmosphere.
Extensive technical specification including diesel generator, lithium service battery bank, watermaker, electric furling systems, retractable bow and stern thrusters, electric winches etc. High quality deck fittings and BROOKS & GATEHOUSE navigation incl. satellite communication.
Thanks to her T-shaped lifting keel with Cariboni hydraulics, the Knieim 60 is particularly well suited for waters with limited draught or small harbours. The yacht has been in Knierim’s indoor winter storage every year and has been maintained and technically serviced by the shipyard.
