This port is visited in summer; however, a small fleet moored there that fishes seasonally. It currently has good nautical-sports facilities. The town in which it is located, Santa Marta de Ortigueira, is internationally known for the celebration of the Celtic World Festival. In fact, pre-Celtic, Celtic and later prehistoric remains are very abundant in the area.
