The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis is an island federation, it consists of two islands of the same name with a total land area of 261 km2. The western part of the islands is washed by the waters of the Caribbean Sea, from the east by the Atlantic Ocean. The federation has a tropical climate with dry, hot summers and warm winters.
