We will also highlight other actions located on land belonging to the Port Authority that the City is carrying out with effort to promote tourism, and which are worthy of praise, such as the Parque Marítimo del Mediterraneo, with an area of 40,000 m2 on land reclaimed from the sea under an administrative concession, ceded under very favorable conditions by the Port Authority for the enjoyment of citizens and the Poblado Marinero with an area of 10,000 m2, attached to both the Marina and the Maritime Park, also promoted by the City, which will give rise to a recreational and commercial area in a unique setting. The new works of the Fishing Basin and Fish Market have been completed, which will serve to accommodate the Ceuta fishing fleet and that with modern facilities can promote its activity. By way of conclusion, we will say that, despite the difficulties, the Port has undergone new improvements that have contributed to placing it in a position to compete within the increasingly technical, complex and changing Maritime Market.
